Terry Young

Terry Young is a highly experienced mechanical designer, technologist, and SolidWorks user with over 25 years of experience designing, assembling, and testing components for scientific instruments and production floor tooling. His design portfolio includes precision mechanics such as motorized shutter mechanisms, optical detector alignment mechanisms, lens mounts, interlocking latches, thermal control assemblies, wafer transport and alignment mechanisms, EMI and radiation shielded electronics enclosures, and assembly jigs and test fixtures. Terry's SolidWorks 3D CAD models allow him to visualize complex features within standard machining limitations and effectively communicate with machinists. He is comfortable exchanging 3D CAD files to establish and verify mechanical interfaces.
