Joni Degner

Joni Degner is a highly experienced professional with 15.3 years of work experience. She possesses a wide range of skills including public speaking, educational consulting, instructional leadership, and universal design for learning. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Joni has dedicated her career to making school work for all learners and reframeing the narrative from struggling learners to struggling design. She is a trusted voice and recognized leader in the implementation of UDL for schools districts, colleges, and universities. Joni is also a dedicated partner to CAST and the UDL-IRN, presenting and keynoting at major summits and symposiums. She is passionate about design thinking, Universal Design for Learning, culturally responsive teaching, developmental relationships, and equity.
